SLP

SLP is the first primary multi-academy trust in the Stanley area. Our community of schools currently consists of: Annfield Plain Infant School, Annfield Plain Junior School, Bloemfontein Primary School, Burnhope Primary School, Collierley Primary School, East Stanley Primary School, Greenland Community Primary School, Langley Park Primary School, South Stanley Infant & Nursery School and South Stanley Junior School.

As a school, we have successfully worked together for many years within the Stanley cluster of primary headteachers, which still exists and we are part of. For the schools above, our formal multi-academy trust enhances the strong, positive partnerships which we have with local schools. This provides support for all staff, pupils and parents/carers, without compromising our school’s unique identity, values and ethos. SLP has a strong school improvement offer with: a headteacher peer review programme, lead practitioner’s support and use of research schools, to embed improvement in all SLP schools.  SLP also has a strong sporting offer and termly SLP events for parent/carers and pupils: fireworks event, talent showcase and star awards.

Our committed staff work together collaboratively across both schools, valuing and supporting each other’s skills, knowledge and expertise to provide the highest quality of teaching. Synergy and teamwork ensure we share best practice enabling us to develop professional relations built on loyalty, integrity and respect, qualities that are then filtered into the classroom.
